Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is going into a relaxed, trance-like state where you are in an enhanced state of awareness. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind where you bypass your critical conscious mind so you can access your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind readily accepts new positive suggestions to create positive changes in your life.

What does being hypnotized feel like?
Hypnosis feels like being in a totally and wonderfully relaxed state. This state is similar to the way you feel just before falling asleep at night. Most people report that the time seems to pass very quickly and they feel alert and energized following the session.
What happens at the first session?
The first portion of the session we discuss how hypnosis works and answer any questions you might have. Next, we will discuss your goals and you will tell me what positive thoughts or behaviors you would like to achieve. Your level of motivation will be discussed and if you are comfortable with hypnosis and your hypnotherapist, I will ask your permission to begin your hypnosis session. You will relax in the recliner, listen to calming music and be guided so that your mind and body are so relaxed we can begin to suggest your positive messages to your subconscious mind. You will be completely relaxed and aware of everything that occurs. Sessions will be concluded with positive suggestions for health and happiness.
Can the hypnotist control my mind?
No. You are always in control. You are aware of everything that is going on and can stop at any time. You will never do anything that contradicts your values or is not acceptable to you.
Will I tell the hypnotist all of my secrets?
No. Hypnosis is not a truth serum. You are aware of everything that is going on and will only disclose information that has a direct benefit to you.
How many sessions will I need?
Every client is an individual and the number of sessions required is different for everyone. Most clients see a change in their thoughts and behaviors after only one session. Reinforcement is not required to effect change, but I record your session on a CD that is yours to keep. Frequently, clients are so happy with the change in their lives that they come back for more sessions with different goals or issues.
What are your fees?
Fees vary and range from $90 to $300 per session. Generally, sessions run from 60 to 90 minutes while regression work usually requires 2 hours. This fee includes a recorded CD of your session to take with you when your session ends. Checks and cash accepted.
